BBF Builders At Southside Baptist Church

We have lived in Anna, TX for the last three years. Anna is a small community about 50 miles northeast of Dallas. We are members of the Southside Baptist Church in Denison, TX. Rev. Keith Taylor is our pastor. We have two daughters, Rhonda Jones, and Terri Frazier. Both of them and their families live in Anna. They have blessed us with seven wonderful grandchildren. Ron worked for over 30 years with a large utility company. He was able to retire early in 1998 due to a merger with another company. We lived in Altus, OK at the time and Ron played golf everyday for nearly two years. We decided there must be more to retirement than staying home and playing golf, so in 2000 we purchased a motor home and traveled around the country for another two years. We heard of the BBF Builders through our church in Altus. Brent Anderson met with us and told us about the builders ministry. He told us they were looking for volunteers with RVs who could help in this church building ministry. A week later we went to Sallisaw, OK working on the pleasant valley Baptist Church. Since that time, we have been able to work on many different projects in four states. We knew very little about construction. The builders have been more than willing to teach us the construction business and even some things we didn't want to learn. We are really blessed that God has provided the means to be able to work with the builders. Our prayer is that God will continue to bless and we can continue to help on many more future projects and see many souls saved.

As we look back to our younger years - yes we were young - as a couple with two beautiful girls, we can say "God has blessed." We remember every time a missionary would come to our church, our bags were packed and we were ready to go back to the mission field with them. But God did not open that door. The years quickly passed by and we (Bill) was faced with early retirement from a large corporation. Boy, what a boring idea! Our thoughts were, "Wow, what are we going to do?" We were troubled somewhat at that time, but we could hear a small voice saying "Be Still - Be Quiet." Yes, that was very hard. Then the door was opened that allowed us to travel with the BBF Builders. Bill would be able to use his building skills and I would be able to use my "gift of gab." HA! HA! This enables us to help baby churches to attain their vision  for growth and reaching souls for Christ. Thank you - Southside Baptist Church - for allowing us to represent you in this outreach ministry. Our prayer is that we will always make you proud.
