Associate David Hudgens

My name is David Hudgens.  I have been on staff at Southside Baptist Church since August of 1986.  I was born in Sweetwater Texas but grew up in Abilene.  I attended Cooper High School and graduated in 1980.  My home church is Trinity Baptist Church in Abilene and my parents still attend there.  I went to Baptist Bible College in August of 1980 and attended there for three years.  I did not graduate until May of 2008, with a Bachelor degree.  My wife,  who I met at BBC, is named Traci.  We have been married for over 28 years.  She is my bests' of friends.  We served in Lubbock Texas at Temple Baptist Church for three years as Youth Director's.  We have been here at Southside for over 25 years.  I am the Associate Pastor/Music Minister.  I love the ministry.  God has blest Traci and I with three wonderful children.  Micah is married to Amanda and they live in the Dallas area.  His plan is to be a Physical Therapist.  Danyelle is our only daughter and she is married to Jordan Henderson.  They are also in the ministry.  Jordan is a Worship Pastor.  They have our only grandchild.  Her name is Annie Renee and she was born November 16, 2010.  She is very special to us.  Our youngest son is Aaron and he is living in Denton.  He is still attending college.  He served in the Air Force for 1 1/2 years.  My hobbies include golf, softball, bow hunting and snow skiing.  We live in the country and I love working outside on our property.  My life verse is Job 23:10, "But He knoweth the way I take; when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."  My goal in life is to make people thirst for our God.  My future plans are in God's hands and I live just one day at a time.  We serve an AWSOME GOD!!!
